Shipments & Packing Manifests

Track each batch of a PO with its own shipment, carrier tracking, and a declared manifest that pre-fills receiving.

What you'll need

A submitted or confirmed PO. A PO can have any number of shipments; their statuses roll up to the PO status.

Adding a shipment

1. On the PO's Shipments tab, click + Add Shipment. 2. Set the status (Confirmed / Ready to Ship / In Transit) and Expected arrival. 3. Paste a Tracking # or URL — a full https:// tracking link works; Ventorie parses the carrier from it. 4. Optionally set a shipment ref, carrier, a destination override, and which line items (and quantities) are in this shipment. Advance status with Mark Ready to Ship → Mark In Transit → Mark Received. Ventorie stamps the dates and uses them to learn your real lead times.

Carrier tracking

Tracked shipments show a live carrier chip (e.g. "FEDEX · InTransit", "Delivered") refreshed every 30 minutes, and overdue shipments trigger a notification when they sail past their expected arrival.

The packing manifest

The manifest is what the vendor declared they're packing. Click Add manifest on a shipment (or approve a Shipment notice email — the AI fills it from the vendor's packing list). The editor captures: • Pallets — the count, plus per-pallet contents, weight, and dimensions. • Lots — SKU, lot number, expiry, and quantity per lot. Once saved, the shipment shows a chip like "Manifest · 2 pallets · 3 lots".

Why manifests matter

• Receiving pre-fills from declared lots, so lot numbers and expirations don't have to be retyped. • The ShipBob WRO box plan is shaped by declared pallets. • If ShipBob later receives different lots than the vendor declared, you get a lot-mismatch alert.

Notifying a non-ShipBob warehouse

For destinations outside ShipBob, click Notify warehouse on the shipment: a prefilled heads-up email with contents, pallets, tracking, and filed documents attached. The recipient is remembered on the location for next time.
