Sales Orders
Sales orders sync automatically from Shopify and Amazon. Understand how Ventorie maps channel orders to your catalog.
Order sync
Sales orders are pulled from Shopify and Amazon during each sync. Ventorie uses an incremental cursor (based on order update time) to only fetch new or changed orders since the last sync — avoiding duplicates and ensuring no orders fall through the gap window.
Order status mapping
Shopify order statuses are mapped to Ventorie's normalized statuses:
• pending / open → Open
• fulfilled → Fulfilled
• cancelled → Cancelled
• refunded → Refunded
This normalization lets you report on orders consistently across multiple sales channels.
Line items and SKU linking
Each order line item is linked to a Product via the ChannelSKU mapping. If a channel SKU hasn't been reviewed yet, the line item is still imported — it's linked to the product once the SKU mapping is confirmed.
Fulfillment routing
Routing rules (Settings → Fulfillment) determine which warehouse fulfills which orders based on criteria like shipping country. When an order is received, Ventorie evaluates your routing rules to assign a fulfillment location. This data feeds into inventory reservation and replenishment planning.
