Notifications & Slack
In-app bell, real-time emails, a daily digest, Slack DMs — and per-event control over what reaches you.
The three channels
• In-app — always on: the bell icon at the top right shows unread notifications with a count badge.
• Email — under Settings → Notifications, turn on Real-time emails to get an email the moment an event fires (choose which events in the list below the toggle). Optionally set a different notification email (e.g. alerts@yourcompany.com); blank uses your account email. Send test email verifies delivery.
• Slack — see below.
Separate from all of the above: the Daily case digest — one email every morning (8am your business's local time) listing the open cases waiting on your reply, most urgent first. It's not a delivery mode for the event alerts and ignores the event list; it has its own toggle on the same page.
Connecting Slack
1. Settings → Notifications → Connect Slack, and authorize the workspace.
2. Notifications arrive as direct messages to you.
3. Tick Enable Slack notifications, use Send test to verify, and Save preferences.
Disconnect any time from the same card.
Choosing your events
The "Notify me for these events" list (applies to email and Slack; the bell always gets everything) covers about two dozen event types, including: order placed on hold, lot expiry warning and lot disposal, shipment tracking updates and overdue shipments, low stock and reorder needed, the WRO family (receipt auto-created, shortfall, stalled, lot mismatch), potential inventory loss, sync errors, packaging shortfall, Inbox proposals awaiting review, mailbox send failures, QBO deposit/bank-match alerts, and payment/freight follow-up escalations. Untick anything you don't want.
Related but separate
Proposal approval emails (with the one-click approve link) are their own flow — the "Inbox proposal awaiting review" toggle here controls the Slack/in-app alert. Follow-up cadence and grace windows live under Settings → Automation → Timing & calendar.
