Browser Automations (portals with no API)
Teach Ventorie a web portal that has no API — a testing lab, a manufacturer's approval site — by doing the task once. Ventorie then repeats the submission for you, always behind your approval.
What it's for
Some of the systems you rely on have no API — you log into a website and fill in a form by hand. A common one: sending samples to a third-party testing lab through their portal. Browser Automations lets you teach Ventorie that task once, and it does it for you afterward. It's part of the Autopilot plan.
Find it under Integrations → Browser Automations.
Record it once
1. Open Browser Automations and enter the portal's address (or click "Record this portal" from a matching email in your Inbox — it's pre-filled).
2. A secure browser opens in the cloud — nothing to install. Sign in and do the task once, exactly as you normally would.
3. Your password is captured straight into an encrypted vault as you type it — it never appears in the recording, and no one can read it back.
4. Click "Finish & review". Ventorie turns what it watched into a repeatable recipe and shows you the steps plus the blanks that change each time (lot number, product, test panel…). Rename anything that reads oddly, then Save.
Make it Ready
A saved recipe starts as a draft. Two steps make it live:
• Test sign-in — replays only the login. It submits nothing, so it's safe to run any time; it just confirms Ventorie can sign in.
• Run & verify — does one real submission with real values to confirm the whole flow end-to-end. On success the recipe becomes Ready.
Every run keeps a screenshot of each step and the confirmation number — click any thumbnail to enlarge it. Run history stays on the recipe, so you can look back later.
How it runs day to day
Once a recipe is Ready, Ventorie surfaces it where the work shows up:
• In your Inbox — when an email arrives about a submission Ventorie recognizes (e.g. sending samples to a lab it now knows), the proposal offers a one-click "Submit" action, pre-filled from the email. You approve; Ventorie does the submission and files the confirmation.
• In a workflow — an "automation" step can run the recipe as part of a larger flow.
Nothing ever runs on its own — every submission waits for your one-click approval, and the confirmation number and screenshots are saved with it.
Editing, re-recording & credentials
From a recipe's ⋯ menu:
• Edit name & labels — rename the recipe or the per-submission questions.
• Re-record steps — if the portal's layout changes and the recipe stops working, re-record the task; it replaces the steps in place (keeping its history and Inbox links) and drops back to draft to re-verify.
• Delete recipe.
From a portal's ⋯ menu you can rename it, update the saved username/password, or delete the portal. Credentials are stored encrypted per portal and are never shown again.
What your plan includes
