Multi-Currency

Buy in vendor currencies, invoice in customer currencies, and keep base-currency reporting exact and reversible.

Enabling it

Settings → Business → Currency: set your Base currency and flip the Multi-currency toggle. With it on, POs, vendor invoices, and AR invoices can each carry their own currency.

How conversion works

Every order and document gets an FX stamp at its own date: platform-native rates are used when the channel provides them, with a daily ECB curve as fallback. Reporting converts through these stamps — so historical financials don't wobble when today's rate moves. Missing stamps are backfilled automatically.

Switching base currency

Changing base currency is exactly reversible: switch from USD to CAD and back, and every historical figure returns bit-identical. There's no lossy re-rating.

Where currencies show up

• POs — pick the currency per PO; the payment schedule and totals show vendor currency with base-currency reporting underneath. • AR invoices — push to QBO with the invoice's CurrencyRef and exchange rate. • Deposit accounts — QBO bank accounts are single-currency, so the QuickBooks card offers one deposit account per invoice currency and routes each payment to the matching account.
