Getting Started

Connecting ShipMonk

Pull live warehouse inventory, lot/expiration data, and bundle definitions from ShipMonk.

What you'll need

A ShipMonk merchant account and an Integration API key. In the ShipMonk app, go to Account Settings → Stores and add a "ShipMonk API" store, then create a key under Integration API Keys. New API stores are approved by ShipMonk's integrations team — usually within 48 hours — so request yours ahead of time. The key is shown once; store it somewhere safe.

Connecting

1. Go to Integrations → Add integration → ShipMonk. 2. Paste your API key. 3. Click Connect ShipMonk — Ventorie verifies the key against ShipMonk's API and creates the connector.

Selecting warehouses

Open the ShipMonk connector card and click Manage to choose which warehouses to track. Only selected warehouses get inventory positions in Ventorie; you can change the selection and re-sync at any time. If a Ventorie location with the same name already exists (for example imported from Shopify), it's linked instead of duplicated.

What syncs

Hourly (or on your chosen schedule), Ventorie pulls: • Inventory — physical on-hand and available quantities per warehouse. • Lots — per-lot on-hand with expiration dates, feeding expiry alerts and lot-aware COGS. • Bundles — ShipMonk bundle definitions become BOMs, so bundle sales consume component stock. Each ShipMonk SKU is matched to your catalog by SKU; unmatched items are flagged for review on the connector card.

Receiving orders (ASNs)

When a PO shipment's destination is an imported ShipMonk warehouse, the shipment card offers Create receiving in ShipMonk — Ventorie registers the ASN with your expected quantities and declared lots. From there the hourly checker follows it (awaiting → arrived → in progress → received) and, on completion, auto-creates the PO receipt with the real lot numbers and expirations ShipMonk counted, alerts on shortfalls (expected vs received), and flags lot mismatches against the vendor's declared manifest. Receivings created in the ShipMonk dashboard work too: paste the ASN into the shipment's WRO / Receiving ID field and Ventorie picks it up on the next check.

Not yet included

Order pull and webhooks aren't part of the ShipMonk connector — inventory and receivings are polled hourly. Combined receivings (several POs on one ASN) are ShipBob-only for now. Tell us if you need these and we'll prioritize.
